The Advent Rising

I have enjoyed a marvellously relaxed and work-free four weeks of holidays, indulging in nothing more than watching Scrubs, movies and anime on my computer, three paintball games, a few parties, conversations with monks, some movies at the cinemas and just general chilling out. Now that such an envious holiday has drawn to a close, univers…wait no… what’s this? No university? For I am now about to embark on several weeks of touring Australia. Oh life is hard! hahahaha

I leave tomorrow morning for Brisbane, the retirement city of sunshine, sunshine and old people (I kid, I kid). I have never been up north, so this should prove to be an exciting experience. I am visiting some relatives, some poor uni friends who are stuck up there, doing their university degrees, the Gold Coast, of which I have heard ever so much about. I am finally going to experience a definite part of the Australian experience. I’m excited!!

I should point out, that out of Australia’s 8 major cities (what? Hobart is a city?) I am visiting four of them, or at least planning to at this stage, and I have only bought one ticket. The plane ticket tomorrow. Great planning, eh? I have booked tickets for a concert in Melbourne on the 11th of August, so i’ll have to be there for then, so that’s a week or so in Melbourne as well. I’ve been to Melbourne once before, and it is one niceee city. Sydney still kicks it thou=p I also might be popping over to Canberra, depending on how I feel, and how bored I want to get watching old people argue and the grass grow (We all respect the government, don’t we!! Thou I am studying Government, so that’s a quandry to ponder). But I deviate.

Anyway, then I have to be back in Sydney for the 18th of August, when I am going to SMASH! – an Anime Convention, which will be my FIRST EVER!! Can you believe that? I’m so excited!!! There’s going to be like everything, artists, anime, cosplay, the works~ score~!! Then at the end of August, I will be working for the APEC conference, which should be a grand experience!! Something definitely not to be missed, thou I am actually missing the best part, becauseeeeeeeee….

On September 4 I am flying out to Beijing, China to study for around 5 months. Now that is going to be one heck of an experience. I last stayed in Beijing during December/January 07, and I had one massive ball, this time round though, I am going to be studying hard. Just watch me. My Chinese skill level is going to increase exponentially. I’m going to do a massive XP grind=p But yes, after that, dropping by in Hong Kong and then I want to go to Japan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

!!!! Like omg…Japan!!!! Nothing planned yet, except that I want to go there, so if anyone is there around the end of Jan/beginning of Feb…it seriously would be good fun~!!! Recommend me some places to go see, because there is so much to see, and so little time (and money) haha.

So by the time I get back, I WILL be fluent in Chinese (or else~!!) and have satisfied a dream and a ‘thing to do before you die’ by going to Japan (hopefully). It will also be about 7 months without seeing family or friends, so everyone…add beijing and japan to your holiday plans!!! haha.

And I just bought a digital camera today. So expect photos and lots of boring monologue

Time to pack~!!!
